Project Overview: Project scope involved the shell fit-out and services infrastructure of the ground floor retail unit to a 40 storey resi tower in the centre of Birmingham. Works included the Installation of curtain walling 2 storeys high (glazing) to 3 elevations, multiple retail entrances (in steel / high security ratings), shop front and auto doors, new slab to retail unit, M&E services mods inc life saving systems, new steel staircase, major structural support works for curtain walling installs, suspended ceilings, plasterboard wall linings, foundations for new extension, external plant works for refrigeration, civils and trenches for service runs, new landscaping areas and external street/pathway lighting, security fencing and footpath reprofiling along Broad Street & Sheepcote Street. Also involved design development for S.278 Layby highway works for street widening and vehicle / goods delivery proposals to suit store requirements.
