Value: £2.2m Sector: Education Refurbishment of the existing catering kitchen facility together with associated external works. The works consisted of demolition and removal of existing catering facility followed by the construction of internal walls, new floor, wall and ceiling finishes throughout, together with full refurbishment of the M&E services. A complex new catering kitchen facility was installed together with contractor designed fixtures, fittings and counter facilities in the restaurant area. External works involved extensive remodelling works to the surrounding area including the construction of new stairs and pathway with associated handrail to the embankment....

Solihull MBC; Shirley Library

Value: £500,000 Sector: Local authority The works consisted of the internal fit out of a pre-constructed shell within the Parkgate Shopping Development. The project required the installation of a new shop front and automatic entrance doors. Internally a full Mechanical, Electrical and Data installation was undertaken together with the formation of library space, toilet and kitchen facilities. New wall, floor and ceiling finishes were installed together with specialist library furniture, shelving and equipment. This project was undertaken out of sequence to the rest of the Parkside Development to fulfill the requirements of the Client, this required liaison with the Main Centre Developers. Completion was achieved within programme and within budget and a Prime Ministers visit was able to go ahead much to the delight of the Client and their staff....

Value: £1.8m Sector: Local Authority Solihull Central Library and Arts Complex remodeling involved the internal alterations and refurbishment of the Lower Ground and First Floor areas, whilst the library and theatre remained open to the public. The refurbishment works consisted of:- Lower Ground Floor - Undertaking demolitions, formation of internal rooms including M&E services and all new finishes to floors, walls and ceilings. Ground Floor - Complete demolition of catering kitchen and existing offices. Formation of new commercial kitchen, new offices, toilets and shower facilities including all finishes and replacement of library carpets during Christmas close down. First Floor - Complete demolition including forming opening in slab for new contractor designed staircase, handrails and balustrades. Formation of new theatre bar area and offices together with creatives learning zone for exhibitions. The project was undertaken over 6 phases requiring detailed planning to maintain the use of the library and particularly the theatre during pantomime season. Completion was achieved on time and within budget....

Norfolk House, Birmingham

Value: £4m Sector: Commercial Having worked previously on Norfolk House, we were invited to take part in a 2 Stage Tender for the refurbishment of the 1st and 3rd Floors. Once instructed we were tasked with the complete re-modelling of both floors. The works involved the full strip out of all fixtures, fittings, suspended ceilings, floor finishes and original M&E installation. Following the strip out. the design and build of a new M&E installation was carried out to fulfill the Clients scope. Following that, new suspended ceilings, secondary glazing, WC installations and decorations were completed to a high standard. The successful completion of the works on the 1st and 3rd Floors resulted in the negotiation of works to the Ground Floor, Reception Area and 5 Main Lobby Areas, all completed on a design and build basis, to a high standard, within budget and on programme....

Value: £2.2m Sector: Education The works involved the fit out of a newly constructed building for the Birmingham City University (BCU). The BCU intended on taking occupation and relocating some of its key departments; Estates Management, HR, IT and Finance. As such the fit out was to a very high specification. The works were carried out over 5 floors and included the construction of meeting rooms, server rooms, "huddle" spaces, feature rafts, kitchens and coffee pods. New flooring and decorations were carried out throughout. The contract also included for an extensive package of FF&E to be procured and installed. M&E works included the installation of a new Cat 6 data network, installation of a controlled access system including CCTV monitoring, adaption and enhancement of the base build fire alarm and alterations and adaptations to the small power and lighting installations....
