BUILDING SAFETY ACT 2022 – Building Regulations etc. (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2023

The relatively new Building Safety Act introduces new duty holder roles that impact all stakeholders involved in a construction project, including the client, the principal contractor, and the principal designer. There is also a list of general duties for all contractors and designers that must be met. The new provisions of the BSA will create new rights of action for everyone involved in Construction Projects. At GTH we have provided additional training and professional development on the BSA requirements, and all of our management team are now qualified to deliver this as part of our PC duties. Working closely with our Building Control Consultancy Service Partners and Designers, we can carry out this service as part of our Contract Delivery Strategy in order to comply with all current regulatory obligations on non-gateway projects. Please get in touch for more information....

Mental Health Awareness 2025 update

The construction industry can be a fast paced and stressful environment, with the mindset of toughness, where workers can sometimes endure physical and mental strain without showing vulnerability; some may feel they can’t seek help or open up about their struggles.   At GTH Construction we are trying to break that stigma by training some members of staff to be Mental Health First Aiders and Champions, as well as investing in an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).   An EAP is designed to support employees and their families with personal and work-related challenges, from mental health issues and stress management to financial and legal advice.   Staff have 24-hour, free access to a range of resources to support their health and wellbeing.  In addition, all employees receive a monthly newsletter that highlights key health and wellbeing topics, fosters open conversations in the workplace, and helps to challenge stigma and prejudice, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.   This year’s Mental Health Awareness week will be spent encouraging our workforce to come together, talk and have fun. Team building is a great way to improve mental health, it gives employees an opportunity to socialise and get to know one another better. This can help reduce stress and promote...
