PROCORE TECHNOLOGIES

The business has made the move to implement new Project Management Software which will provide enhanced contract management tools and procedures. The software is an internationally recognised user-friendly system that can be accessed by the entire project team with various key tools such as drawing and specification management, progress information, snagging and general document management, to name a few. The technology is being rolled out and trialled on new projects in 2021 and the individual teams will utilise going forward. Again, we will provide further information in the next update....

ISO 45001 ACCREDITATION

GTH are currently undergoing management systems updates in order to complete and gain further accreditation in relation to occupational H&S. The criteria are for GTH to implement the required management systems updates over a designated period of time, be assessed in and achieve compliance. We have made significant progress in the last 12 months towards achieving ISO 45001. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, our initial target to achieve ISO45001 has been unfortunately affected and put back some months. We have been operating an integrated management system now for all 3 ISO standards (9001, 14001 and 45001) for some months. The early part of 2021 will be where fine tuning and internal audits will be undertaken, to prepare us for the external auditor who will visit during the summer. We are already seeing benefits of operating to the standard and look forward to achieving official certification in summer 2021. Watch this space for further updates and information. ...

CORONAVIRUS (Covid 19)

As of June-July we resumed full business operations with our head office and some sites re-opened at our client’s discretion, all in accordance with the Government’s Guidelines and increased Health and Safety measures. We have been operating all Projects and our head office as COVID-secure workplaces. Office staff numbers have been greatly reduced with more persons now working from home, GTH construction have embraced the use of technology to ensure that the business has continued to run with the level of communication Clients and Internally we at GTH Construction are used to. The business has been paying close attention to official communications and advice from the UK Government and Public Health professionals over the last few months, and will continue to do so over the coming months into 2021. General Coronavirus updates are issued frequently to staff and clients along with official advice and information on how to deal with the virus and how it is being managed within the business to lessen the impact of the nationwide Tiered system. National Health Service (NHS)

We have recently successfully delivered several hospital facility upgrade schemes in live buildings such as the QE and Worcester Royal and are also awaiting confirmation to progress further projects in 2021. Our relationship with the NHS has developed well over the last year or so and we are extremely proud to have contributed to this national service which is of such great significance, especially under the current circumstances....

Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP (PwC)

Having successfully delivered PwC’s Birmingham Office Project at Paradise Circus in the latter part of 2019, we were successful in securing the new Watford Office Project during the summer of 2020. The project was another great success all round, handed over in the Autumn of this year. We hope these positive outcomes have enabled us to be in a position for other potential opportunities with this excellent and again prestigious client....

University of Birmingham

University of Birmingham (UoB)

In the last update we confirmed that the business was successful in achieving a secured place on the University of Birmingham’s 10-year Construction Framework up to £10 million during the early part of 2020. Again, we have successfully delivered a number of HE projects for them during the last 12 months and are delighted to be involved in up and coming projects and secured future workload for the UoB, one of our key clients who we have worked with for around a decade. British Telecom (BT)

Another of our key clients is British Telecom. We have experienced continued success with various projects having been completed in 2020 and having tendered for more in recent times. We await further instruction through 2021 on up and coming projects. BT are an excellent, reliable client to work with and we are hoping to secure more opportunities in due course to continue the ongoing and growing business relationship. ...

Birmingham City University (BCU)

GTH have been fortunate to have worked for this prestigious client for over 25 years. We have continued to deliver various projects for them recently, some are still ongoing and we have tendered some future works which we are hoping will move forward through 2021. Faithful+Gould Plc (F+G)

F+G Atkins have been another excellent long-term client to GTH which has been built on strong relationships and a history of successful projects. Over the years, we have delivered multiple office refurbishment schemes across the country. Having won the opportunity to tender for PwC’s Birmingham Office Project last Summer at Paradise Circus, GTH were successful in securing the project which was delivered in the latter stages of 2019. The project was a great success all round and we are delighted to confirm that it has enabled us to progress further with this distinguished client, having recently won the Watford office tender which started on site recently.
